Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Visualization improves the communication of ideas, spatial reasoning and concepts through interactive graphic tools. Learn how 3D and visualization is used to monitor, measure, map, and manage responses to events and problems in the real world. High resolution 3D visualizations, based on spatial data, display animations of hurricanes, smoke, and volcanic dusts. Engage students in the field of the sciences through visualization sensors, robotics, gaming, and computational thinking using augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and 2D fabrication. Classroom examples and makerspace activities incorporating constructivist approaches using the 5 E instructional model along with constructionism approaches using project based learning will be shared with participants. Examples incorporate the use of NASA education resources, AR Sandbox, Spacecraft 3D, Aurasma, Onshape, Helioviewer, Aurorasaurus, Minecraft, and modeling programs. Consider adding an additional presenter.
